We experienced a fire in our attached garage. We were told by the restoration company (which was recommended by our insurance agent in Wisconsin) the rebuild would take 3 months. After waiting 12 months, we told our insurance agent that we found a replacement contractor in Vlad Podgaetski with Tektone. We learned he had years' experience in fire restoration. All the various subcontractors he utilized for the rebuild were respectful & honest. They listened to us & helped rebuild our home with a few changes, such as an open kitchen, new stone around the fireplace & converting it from woodburning to gas, as well as a walk-in closet! I highly recommend Vlad and his team if you’re looking for a contractor you can trust. They are professional, honest, organized, and truly care about the quality of their work. Our pool house suffered severe water damage after a cleaning crew accidentally left the shower running. Unfortunately, the leak went unnoticed for nearly two months, causing extensive water damage and mold. The flooring, drywall, insulation, and much of the interior had to be removed. Rather than simply restoring everything to its original condition, we decided to take the opportunity to completely redesign the space. Although we didn’t expand the footprint of the building, we removed an interior wall and the bathroom to create a much more open layout, and we added a large sliding glass door. Our plans were approved by the city surprisingly quickly, and then we started looking for the right contractor. We received proposals from three well-known remodeling companies. Vlad’s pricing was the most reasonable, and after reading so many positive Google reviews, we decided to move forward with his team. Looking back, we’re very glad we made that decision. Throughout the project, everything was well organized. Our project manager, Michael, kept us updated every week on what had been completed and what was scheduled for the following week. That level of communication made the entire process much smoother and gave us confidence that everything was on track. Another thing we really appreciated was how they handled our change order. Like many homeowners, we decided to make one design change after construction had already begun. The pricing was fair and in line with market rates. At no point did we feel like they were trying to take advantage of the situation or inflate the cost simply because the project was already underway. That honesty gave us a lot of confidence throughout the project. We’re very happy with how everything turned out. The workmanship is excellent, and the attention to detail really shows. Our remodeled pool house is not only beautiful but also much more open, functional, and enjoyable to use.
